Perficient Launches Cultural Connections Employee Resource Group / Blogs / Perficient

New ERG Will Further Perficient’s Progress in Cultivating Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).

At Perficient, we value people. We believe in developing a global workforce that is as diverse and inclusive as the clients we work with.

With teams spanning technologies and time zones, our global business promises to create opportunities for our people to collaborate with the top talent around the world with diverse cultures and backgrounds that help shape who we are as an organization.

Understanding these differences is vital to continue our mission to build an inclusive workplace.

New ERG Is Focused on Cultural Understanding

Our new Cultural Connections Employee Resource Group (ERG) will take colleagues on a journey to explore, understand, advance, and celebrate the cultural differences that help shape our workforce and perspectives.  Our Cultural Connections ERG is led by our executive sponsor Kevin Sheen, vice president of Global Delivery:

Kevin

“Our Perficient team today is spread across multiple countries throughout the world,” said Kevin. “Within each of those countries, there is a further rich and diverse cultural tapestry. The Cultural Connections Employee Resource Group recognizes that the better we can connect our employees through education, understanding, and appreciation of the unique culture that immerses each of them, the stronger the bonds that bring our global teams together.”

Kevin Sheen, Vice President – United States

Our ERG Leaders are Passionate About the Mission

The mission of the group is to continue cultivating a culture of inclusivity and allyship throughout Perficient around the globe. It’s a group that celebrates multiculturalism. Our Cultural Connections ERG co-chairs are located in the United States, Mexico, and India.  Here is what they had to say about leading this group:

“There could not be a better platform to convey my gratitude for the beautiful and inclusive work culture that we have at Perficient, where I have experienced true global sharing and collaboration across teams. I am looking forward to further reinforce a culture where colleagues can bring their whole selves to work, remove unconscious biases, understand our colleagues’ cultural backgrounds, and embrace their differences.”

Anu Ram, Senior HCM Manager – India

Ale Garza

“As a Mexican and part of People team at Perficient, I was excited and very interested when I first heard about an ERG that will not only celebrate diversity and multiculturism but will also help create allyship around all our global colleagues. I am really looking forward to learning about our cultural differences, understanding what is important for each culture, discovering how our culture impacts the way we work, and developing an environment that nourishes our diversity.”

Alejandra Esquivel, Senior HCM Manager – México

“Cultural and diversity recognition is not a one-time event, nor is it merely a checkbox to fill to say we have it. It’s an ongoing commitment to actively listen, learn, and share the various voices that make up our professional communities. By doing so, we send a powerful message that we are driven to create a space where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to thrive.”

Anthony Herman, Salesforce Director – United States

Cultural Connections ERG Will Continue the Legacy of Creating Meaningful Connections

Our first two ERGs, Women in Technology (WiT) and the Giving ERG, have helped thousands of Perficient colleagues foster deep connections and give back to our communities. The Cultural Connections ERG will continue to expand colleagues’ understanding of various cultures and backgrounds across the globe. Like the WiT and Giving ERGs, Cultural Connections will host events that educate, enable, and engage colleagues to celebrate multiculturalism.

Our colleagues bring diverse perspectives, knowledgeable insights, and dynamic mindsets to our global community, and we can’t wait to see how Cultural Connections will continue that legacy.
