I recently had the honor of being interviewed by Cosmopolitan Magazine in Germany. The interview lasted an hour with Antonia Hartmann and I talked about a lot of ways that OnlyFans creators could make money from the platform. The interview is in the print only version of the magazine so I figured I would include it in this blog so that you could get the information here as well. So here is the article that is appearing the German version of Cosmopolitan Magazine this month.

Bei Instagram verdienen die Influencer*innen hauptsächlich über Kooperationen –bei OnlyFans hingegen kommt das Geld direktnvon den Follower*innen. Außerdem kann man Inhalte leicht monetisieren, da sie vorher nicht genehmigt werden müssen, wie bei YouTubeoder Instagram

Rapperin Cardi B verdient im Monat acht Millionen Dollar über Making-of-Videos, die sie auf OnlyFans bereitstellt, aber die ist ja auch berühmt. Wie kann man als Normalo Leute zum Bezahlen bringen?

Erst mal Zeit investieren, um sich über kostenlose Postings ein Aushängeschild zu erschaffen. Und persönliche Beziehungen zu Follower*innen aufbauen, die dann eventuell bereit sind, mehr für exklusives Material zu zahlen. Interaktion ist wichtig: private Nachrichten beantworten, aber auch Livestreams bieten, um mit den Follower*innen „abzuhängen“. Klingt komisch, aber auf OnlyFans wird online miteinander gechillt. 

Das Ganze hat aber einen ****ösen Ruf…

Stimmt, man findet viel „***** Only Content“. Sogenannte Nudefluencer*innen, also solche, die sich nackt und **** präsentieren, haben sich dieses einfache Paywall-Netzwerk auch zunutze gemacht. 

Wie läuft so was ab?

Wie in einer Art Online-Stripclub. Die Leute bezahlen, um ihre Lieblings-*********innen hautnah zu erleben, etwa in Livestreams. Das könnte „normale“ User*innen abschrecken. Dabei kann man prinzipiell wirklich jeden Inhalt verkaufen. Wer Spaß daran hat, mit Menschen intensiv zu connecten, ist hier richtig. Wenn Sie gut in etwas sind und Leute dafür Geld bezahlen würden? Sell it!

Und welche Inhalte lassen sich da verkaufen?

Expert*innen-Ratschläge von Beauty- und Fitness-Themen über Musik und Comedy bis hin zu Gaming-Streams. Dabei muss klar signalisiert werden, dass dort wirklich exklusives Wissen verkauft wird. Leute geben Geld für das aus, was sie im echten Leben nicht bekommen. 

Was garantiert Sicherheit?

Unerwünschte Personen können blockiert, entfernt oder angezeigt werden. Wichtig ist auch, das echte Leben von der OnlyFans-Kunstfigur getrennt zu halten und keine privaten Daten, wie die Adresse, zu teilen. Viele bleiben sogar komplett anonym, zeigen nie ihr Gesicht: Auch das kann reizen.
