Journey towards enlightening minds at Perficient-Chennai GDC:
Little did the Shatabdi express (Bangalore to Chennai) know about its contribution towards adding festivity & knowledge to minds at the Chennai GDC of Perficient India, by having two great minds of our organization travel on it.
Yes, we are speaking of Santhosh Nair, VP Perficient inc.
Where do I start, he has over 22 years of consulting experience in Oracle EPM, ERP and BI. Santhosh has helped clients implement financial solutions helping them maximise value from their technology investments and is specialized in serving clients in financial services and retail to name a few verticals
& Stuart Massey, Principal.
Stuart has over two decades of experience in Oracle ERP and is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of a growing practice at Perficient that embraces modern technologies including Cloud based solutions.
There’s a lot more to look forward to.
They wanted to experience a train ride in India, hence they took the Shatabdi express from Bangalore to Chennai. They arrived in Chennai Railway station at 9:15 PM on Saturday February 4, 2023, to be received by our AVP Prakash Chembai and Iyappan Rathina.
They got a sneak peek of the Chennai marina and the lighthouse on their way to the Westin in Velachery.
Calm, before the Storm
On a pleasant sunny Sunday morning (Sunday February 5, 2023), Santhosh and Stuart had an early start to Mahabalipuram with Prakash, Ranga, Ganapathy Raj and Subbu. Mahabalipuram known for its temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. The town has a collection of 7th- and 8th-century Hindu religious monuments that has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Various beautiful archaeological Heritage sites at Mahabalipuram gave a good view of our history and culture, to Santhosh & Stuart. Also, not to forget, a breezy lunch by seaside with fresh catch from the ocean was a Cherry on top of the cake.
D-day:
Perficient Towers-Chennai was ready to welcome them on their maiden visit. The stage was completely set.
February 6, 2023, Monday, Santhosh Nair & Stuart Massey were at our very own Perficient towers- Chennai.
They collaborated with multiple teams involving Talent Team, HR Team & Finance Team, to know more about the operations of Perficient Chennai.
Multiple meetings with teams belonging to, both Santhosh’s & Stuart’s portfolio also took place at the tower. A Formal Meet with the Data solutions team & oracle team (part of Santhosh’s portfolio) was conducted followed by a meeting with the Iron Mountain team, Evolve team and other oracle project teams (part of Stuart’s portfolio) did occur. Rest of the Perficient employees were also benefited by their visit, as they had multiple floor walks and met with multiple project teams.
A delicious 45-course lunch prepared by 45 different chefs (Perficient Chennai employees) awaited Santhosh and Stuart at the 6th floor Fine Dining at Perficient Towers.
Townhall
February 6, 2023, will be marked in Perficient-Chennai History, As the Chennai Towers witnessed the biggest gathering Post Covid event in the Office. A welcome Note by Kamini Chandar, Traditional performances by Divya Murali & Sai Sethuraman graced the event. After which, honourable guests Santhosh & Stuart, addressed the gathering & answered all the questions & doubts about various business aspects. Prakash Chembai-AVP India, also delivered his motivational & insightful addressal. The gathering came to an end, with the Vote of thanks by Manivel Jaganathan.
The day ended with a positive note & a light-hearted dinner with Influencers “Our Future” at Madras Race Club.
Fresh start to a Fresh day
Another day, a lot more accomplishments.
February 7, 2023, Santhosh, Prakash, Anurag, Prathap, Sunil and Iyappan visited the Ford Global and Technology Business Centre at Sholinganallur to meet with the visiting Ford Executives from the US and their India counterparts about opportunities that Perficient can deliver from the Chennai GDC.
In between meetings, Dan (GM of the CTW business unit, recently acquired by Perficient in Chennai) hosted a sumptuous lunch at his home.
Whereas on the other hand, Stuart continued his conversations with various Oracle folks at the office along with Manivel, Kundan and Balu who manage the Oracle and Data solutions CoE at Perficient Chennai.
Final stop of their visit was a dinner with Chennai Leadership team at Ramada Plaza, Chennai.
On the whole, Santhosh & Stuart’s visit to Chennai GDC has added a much clear perspective in terms of Business & Growth for All concept, into the minds of colleagues at Chennai GDC.
